Can you please help. My mother who is 94 years old, who is unsteady on her feet, occasionally falls when getting out of bed to use the toilet, which is in her room also. Your electrician should be able to wire the power on/off switch into the light.  The product is US made and UL approved.  However, please keep in mind that any modification to the light would void the manufacturer warranty.

Dear Olita:

The AED already comes with instructions displayed on top of the unit.  But the basic process is to; charge the unit. place the pads onto the patients body and push the buttons on top of the pads to shock.  Once the AED discharges, it will take several seconds to recharge.
