We have had Specialists say that in some cases during flu or a bee sting the insulin you give doesn't seem to bring down the blood sugar at all. The insulin is in there but is not working. Then later for no reason at all it all kicks in at the same time and you have to be on guard for insulin reaction. They called this Floating insulin. Many doctors have not even heard the term. Would you please set me straight on this?....Thank you

I am looking for electrode bands that we previously had gotten from Electro-Diagnostic Imaging in Valenica, CA. Their number is now out of service. IPG stand for Impedance Plethysmography and I need the velcro electrode bands that go around the patients leg.

My 12 year old grandson has ASD and a severe enuerisis problem. We have tried every form of mattress cover available to ous and are unable to persuade him to wear protective pads.It has ben suggested that we try to locate a hospital bed mattress which has a proper covered matress but am having trouble locating oneI need something that I can clean down and disinfect every day and I know protective hospital mattresses provide this. I am looking for an electric hospital bed (w/ mattress & rails) for my 82 yr old dad who is 6' 8" tall. Are these type beds made for such a tall person? Thank you.

A typical hospital bed is 88 inches overall length, that includes the foot and the head boards.  The mattresses for the medical beds are only 80 in.  That means that your father, at 6 ft. 8 in and would fit on the mattress, but barely.  If you would like to give us a call toll free at 877-706-4480 we would be happy to give bed and bed combo, sizes, options and prices.

Will Medicare pay for a wheelchair if a doctor prescribes it?

Thank you for your inquiry. A prescripion from a doctor is certainly neccessary.  However, Medicare may still reject the prescription if their criteria is not met.  We would recommend that you contact a durable medical equipment company in your area that deals with Medicare.  Based on their experience they may be able to tell you if Medicare will provide coverage based on your medical needs.
