I am a pediatrician and am giving a lecture on infant colds, congestion, etc. I would like to have a slide that portrays from a market stand point the volume/dollars spent on such devices to irrigate and aspirate the nose. My husband has both cervical neck pain and stenosis (lumbar L2) in his lower back. His pain management doctor once told him that he wasn't a candicate for TENS units because he does not have lower back pain that radiates down his legs, just chronic lower back pain. Now my husband can no longer have nerve blocks because of a bad reaction to the steroid injection and his pain doctor wants to order a tens unit for him. Is it true that a tens unit won't work on lower back pain if you do not have pain that radiates down your legs? We didn't want to second guess his doctor but are confused as to what kind of pain the tens unit works on. Please advise. Thank you.

Myogesic balm is for temporarily relief of minor muscles pain, stiffness of joints.  You should be starting to feel relief within a few minutes of the application.  If you have swelling, brusing or redness around the area, apply a cold compress and see a doctor.
