Thank you for your inquiry.  This hospital bed is designed with a carrying capacity of over 360kg.  Our standard hospital beds are designed for 150-180kg.  They are notably cheaper, but are also narrower at 92 cm width versus 122 cm for the bariatric bed.  Please contact our office and we will assist you with selecting a bed package which meets your specific needs and will not break the bank.

i need to mold a foot rest out of something like this bolster pillow. Can I cut through the foam easily - how firm is it?

We cannot recommend that you alter the Angled Bolster as we are unable ensure that the foam will be able to withstand any alterations that were made.

The foam is a fairly firm foam made to give extra support and comfort.

We do have Foot Elevators and Elevation Wedges available depending on the purpose for which you need them, they might work.
