This is a standard hospital bed mattress, innerspring style.  Standard length is 80 inches however we do have some extended length mattresses available that are 84 inches long.

I have a full care 40 year old son that has recently had a pressure sore on his heel, and his other heel/outside edge from heel to toe also is very red all the time. I want to prevent this from happening again and have been recommended to obtain an alternating air mattress. Prevention is better than cure.
