Question
My son is 20 yrs old 158 lbs 5'4 and he is disabled. Has mild scoliosis and we have a standard electric hospital bed. 2 yrs ago we got the standard mattress that frankly is crap. You can feel the springs. I bought a foam cover to help support. Once in a while he does get cracked skin on his buttocks. I would like a mattress that helps his back support and helps pressure points on his bottom. What do you recommend? Thanks

Answer

Maria:

We have a few options available.

Pressure reduction mattress (foam mattress with convoluted foam topper)
Zoned pressure reduction mattress (foam mattress with specific zones for pressure reduction)
Air mattress (alternating pressure provides constant pressure relief)
Air mattress topper (sits atop standard foam or innerspring mattress and offers the alternating pressure as an air mattress with less cost)

Question
I have a friend that drives trucks across country and hes been having some back pain. Do you think this product would help or could you suggest one of your products I have used Bio Freeze before and worked fairly well for me.

Answer
This will provide more of a topical warming sensation whereas a roll-on, lotion or cream can actually be massaged into the pained area and provide deeper muscular penetration.  However, if the person is by them self when driving, it may be simpler to apply these patches.

Question
My daughter has alot of pain in her feet due to having bone spurs. Do you think this product would help relieve the pain

Answer

This is designed specifically for foot pain.  The manufacturer's detail is:

Podiagesic Foot Pain Relief is an ingenious product. It contains well-known topical pain relievers such as camphor and menthol. However, this product is specially formulated with Aloe, Vitamin E, and other ingredients to get more medicine through the thick, tough skin found on the foot. Once applied, Podiagesic provides a cooling, sensation not unlike BioFreeze.

It is stainless, greasless, and easily applied with a roll on bottle. Podiagesic dries quickly, so you can easily put your socks and shoes on very soon after application.

If you are looking for a Topical Pain Reliever for your feet, Podiagesic is a great option. It applies easily, dries quickly, and it works very well.

Question
how do you know what size to get

Answer
Sizing is based on the maximum circumference of the stretched sleeve.  To measure yourself for the right fit, if being used on the elbow, measure your upper arm about 2-3 inches above the elbow and this will be the size that you would need to get.
