A client of mine has this seat, and seh is frequently incontinent to urine and feces. It leaks out multiple times daily. We have been usign a washable chux pad on top of the seat cushion. Someone just indicated to me that the fabric would render the chairs gell seat non-beneficial. Is that true

A thin pad for incontinence should not render the cushion's gel non-beneficial.  The "barrier" may slightly reduce the effectiveness but should not deem it completely ineffective.
